Team Rocket Pokémon Card Guide

Pokémon trainers believe you need to love and show your Pokémon positive attention for them to be properly raised and evolve. But what if you did the opposite of that? Would the Pokémon still turn out the same or would they be evil? That was the grounds for this Pokémon TCG expansion.

Team Rocket introduced Dark Pokémon, which were corrupted by Team Rocket and made them evil. These Pokémon feature high attack damage, offensive strategies and artwork to signify they were corrupt Pokémon.

With all of these Dark Pokémon that have been made, which Team Rocket cards have the best values?

Introduction

Team Rocket Card Values

Vintage Pokémon cards are literally price spiking right now. You can find lower graded cards still at a decently priced amount, however for PSA 10 cards, the price can get quite high. Team Rocket cards have also been soaring. Older Pokémon sets tend to retain their value, however not every card is worth money just because it is old.

There are some Team Rocket cards that are pretty valuable, but there are also other cards that really are not worth much than normal cards. Let’s take a look at some of today’s top Team Rocket card values.

10 Most Valuable Team Rocket Pokémon Cards

Explore the Team Rocket Pokémon cards that have sold for the most money at auction.

2000 Pokemon Rocket Dark Dragonite No Holo 1st Edition

2000 Pokémon Rocket Dark Dragonite No Holo- 1st Edition

This Dark Dragonite card in the Team Rocket set was the second time this card was reprinted, only this time in an evil form controlled by Team Rocket. Most sets include a Rare Holo card and its non- Holo counterpart; this set had an error and included this misprint.

During printing, the Holo version of Dark Dragonite is numbered 5/82 and the non- Holo is 22/82. But during printing, a few of the Dark Dragonite cards that were numbered 5/82 were accidentally printed without the Holofoil, making it look exactly like the non-Holofoil counterpart. This card is ranked 3rd out of the 16 hardest error cards to find. Because this card has a very low population and it’s a misprint, this card is the most valuable card in the Pokémon Team Rocket expansion.

PSA Population Report:

A low amount of 43 of these Dark Dragonite misprint cards have been graded by the PSA. The lowest grade was a VG- EX 4. The most common grade, with 22 cards, is a Mint 9 condition. Only 5 of these cards have been graded a perfect Gem Mint 10 condition.
