Dark Charizard Pokémon Card Guide

Dark Pokémon are a type of Pokémon that can be found in the trading card game and often called a corrupted version of their normal type. These Pokémon were first introduced in the Team Rocket expansion and have an opposite type called Light Pokémon that were introduced in the Neo Destiny expansion.

Dark Pokémon have a dark brown and black artwork window, Pokédex box and Evolution box. These Pokémon cards also have a higher attack damage and lower HPs compared to their regular Pokémon versions.

Introduction

Dark Charizard Card Value

Dark Charizard is a very popular version of Charizard and can be found in the Trading Card Game and Pokémon Colosseum on the GameCube. When we see Team Rocket’s Pokémon in the Anime, they are always normal Pokémon that act like normal Pokémon, not Dark Pokémon. Dark Pokémon are corrupted and under evil influence. Players have to defeat them in order to purify them and ultimately capture them to the side of good.

There is a theory that if a kinder Pokémon trainer got ahold of Dark Charizard, they could bring it back to its non- corrupted state. Dark Charizard isn’t evil but is trained to be the strongest and is trained to think that winning fights means they will be rewarded.

Dark Charizard Category and Element

Dark Charizard is a dual Fire/Flying- type monster that has an 80Hp. The two main moves for Dark Charizard are Nail Flick and Continuous Fireball. Continuous Fireball is a great attack that will allow you to do 50 damage times the number of heads. Dark Charizard is a corrupted Pokémon because Team Rocket corrupted these Pokémon, they trained their Pokémon this way.

Dark Charizard is definitely a card that you should have in your deck, it can be a very powerful card. You can use Continuous Fireball against an enemy’s most powerful Pokémon and significantly damage it. Dark Pokémon still have the same weakness and vulnerabilities as normal Pokémon. Like regular Charizard, Dark Charizard is weak towards Water, Electric and Rock- type Pokémon.
